I discuss a recent safety issue with base editing technology

Base editing is a new form of gene editing. The promise is that base editing will be more precise and safer than Crispr/Cas9 technology. This may prove to be true, but last week we saw a safety issue arise in a Phase 1 clinical trial for a base editing drug.
